Do not use anchors near buried electrical or gas lines. Striking an underground line may cause severe injury or death.  

If you are uncertain of what may be below the surface, call 811 before installing anchors.

• Shade is not to be used in any manner other than described here or elsewhere on the website.

• Shade is not intended to be used in extreme weather events. Stay weather alert.

• If shade appears defective or broken, discontinue use immediately. 

• Make sure that each pole is fully inserted, and be aware of tension in poles when bent.

• Verify thumb screws on anchors and poles are tight prior to, and during, each use.

• Install each anchor to sufficient depth to prevent anchor movement or leaning.

• Even though the shade is rated "Excellent" for UPF protection, always use sunscreen outdoors.
